We like to think of fig&lemon catering as the younger sister brand in the Carmen’s Group collection. We’ve brought our distinctive elevated dining experience to many of Hamilton, Niagara and Southern Ontario’s most sought-after venues, including unique environments such as rustic barns, wineries, breweries, orchards and private residences.

“It’s all in the details” perfectly encapsulates Nicole Meriano, Sales & Event Manager for fig&lemon catering. Nicole has developed a detail-oriented eye for the small things with ten years of experience in the fast-paced, evolving world of fashion marketing and event planning and execution worlds while also keeping a masterful focus on the big picture.

With experience in events, weddings — including decor and florals, Nicole has built successful events and lasting relationships with clients, many of whom have become friends.

With an infectious smile and a passion for delivering a client’s vision, Nicole orchestrates every detail to ensure a beautiful, memorable experience from the initial consultation to the event’s day.

Gil MacNutt

Executive Chef

Chef Gil, originally from the East Coast, started his career working with the Bertossi Group in Halifax, where he helped open Amano and The Bicycle Thief. From Halifax, he moved to Montreal, and his passion for cooking really took flight. There Chef opened two new restaurants, Mais and Maison, which became a staple for locals in Mile End and led their off-site catering chapter.

Chef has developed and defined his strong culinary identity by participating in multiple culinary events, such as Festival Omnivore.

A master of the farm to table experience, Chef Gil loves working with local produce. His dedication to excellence, close attention to detail, passion, and energy make him a valuable member of the fig&lemon team.
